I have now lost and re-written this post twice in the past two weeks, so I'm going to keep this short in case I lose the post again.
A few months ago, Square Enix released an ad campaign for their game, Deus Ex: Human Revolution. The game, which explores the behavior of a society in which cybernetic enhancement is rampant, created quite a buzz with its "Blair Witch Project" style ad campaign, which advertised for a fictitious cybernetics company, Serif Industries:
Perhaps more interesting was the documentary that followed the release of the game, which focuses on the actual state of cybernetics in our (global) society. Pretty amazing.
Finally, there's Oscar Pistorious, who I guess has been on the Olympics scene for a number of years, but is probably going to be making an appearance this summer in the London Games.
