As an official part of the extended ‘Odum Family’, the Ecotones are the newest acappella vocal sensation to hit Athens, GA! They are a co-ed group of ecologically minded students at the University of Georgia who also happen to enjoy singing. The idea to start the Ecotones arose at a party on Saturday November 14th, 2009. Several UGA Ecology graduate students were standing in a living room singing songs and the thought came up to start an A Cappella group. The result was one broken chair and a new vocal group called the Ecotones. Recruiting began and on Sunday January 17th, 2010 the Ecotones held their first rehearsal. They are currently on summer hiatus after a semester of first birthdays, B.o.B openings and national anthem performances at UGA sporting events. Click the picture below to visit us!
