Mark Fisher loves living things, especially when they interact with each other in large groups. He also wants some dead things to come back and hopes more than anything in the world that his future career can lead to this. He studied Ecology and Evolutionary Biology as an undergraduate and is currently working on his PhD in genetics at the University of Georgia. He studies fire ant population genomics, but also greatly enjoys behavioral genetics, sex determination, and self-organization in social insects more generally. Mark is also an avid Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner and instructor, trains in mixed martial arts (MMA), and sings with the UGA Ecotones. He has a really awesome dog.
